TITLE: Software Engineer

Job Description: Take requirements from product specialists, then design and implement software to address these requirements efficiently. Identify pain points for customers in our current software and propose novel ways to improve it. Review other engineer’s designs and implementation of software and identify any faults or improvements that can be made. Mentor and coach other engineers to help them improve their work. Provide support services for production software systems to ensure good customer experience and ensure the company’s reputation is retained and improved. Document the software for both internal and external stakeholders and train others to be able to support and enhance our software. Must appear in office four (4) days per week; Work from home permissible one (1) day a week.

Requirements: Master's or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and two (2) years of experience in Financial Software Engineering or, in the job offered or related role.

Experience and/or education must include:

1. JAVA Programming;
2. JAVA Spring Framework;
3. Programming against and maintaining relational databases through MySQL;
4. Using technologies such as TCP/IP networking;
5. Developing and consuming REST web service, XML and JSON data encoding standards;
6. Web Software Development in HTML and JavaScript;
7. Use and Programming Software for Unix derived operating systems in such as Linux, MacOS, FreeBSD or NetBSD; and
8. Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban development processes.
