Technical Director, Electronic Arts, Inc., Redwood City, CA. Plan, direct and coordinate to develop EA’s mobile platform. Work closely with stakeholders across the different teams to help build a roadmap and develop systems that will enable our game teams to deliver their features faster. Collaborate with cross-functional components including Product, Game Development, Data Platform and Infrastructure to plan and build the systems that comprise a mobile framework. Work with the product managers and customers directly to understand the use cases, come up with solutions and drive the areas of development with the best ROI. Serve as a domain expert, drive the strategic vision and bring the latest industry experience to the team. Serve as an engineering architect to drive the technical direction, the architectural decision making and the technical roadmap. Drive cross-organizational collaboration/cooperation to build a world-class mobile platform. Recruit, develop and retain the best programming talent in the industry. Ensure the excellence of our embedded and in-sourced tools development services. Oversee all project dependencies, risks, and essential paths. Lead and coach software engineers on the team. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $230,859 - $263,345/yr.  EA offers benefits incl PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance & 401(k) to eligible employees. Certain roles eligible for bonus & equity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in software engineering-related occupation.

Position requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following skills:

·       PHP;

·       Engineering Management;

·       Database Management;

·       Server Architecture;

·       Live-ops mobile product support;

·       Mobile or game development;

·       Redis;

·       Javascript; and

·       AWS.
