Data Scientist

Data Scientist, Electronic Arts, Inc., Redwood City, CA. Design, deploy, train and optimize data models. Provide data analytics utilizing machine learning and other advanced data modeling and predictive techniques to optimize capacity, utilization and cost dynamics for global hosting and infrastructure for online game operations. Create and optimize low touch title predictive models for cost forecast and allocation. Develop predictive models to drive cost savings and capacity efficiency. Create and maintain data pipelines across data sources within the team, across the Production Infrastructure & Engineering department and interfacing with Finance, Global Strategic Sourcing teams. Drive cross-system data model, build data governance standards, and improve data hygiene. Identify new opportunities for data-driven optimization, efficiency and savings in infrastructure planning and costing. Telecommuting permitted. (E2-850684)

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range From $122,300 to $170,600/yr. EA offers benefits incl PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance & 401(k) to eligible employees. Certain roles eligible for bonus & equity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or in a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a data science-related occupation.

Position requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following skills:

·       Write and tune SQL queries;

·       Database platforms, including: Snowflake and BigQuery;

·       NoSQL database platforms, including: Mongo and Cassandra;

·       Building data workflows and pipelines using tools, including: Airflow;

·       Creating Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs);

·       Visualization tools, including: Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or Shiny R;

·       Creating data models for complex multivariable optimization scenarios;

·    Building supervised machine learning (ML) models including linear regression, logistic regression, random forest, and neural network; and

·       Conducting financial modeling, providing business insights and, cost and spend optimizations.
