Salary: $102,835 /yr - $146,000 /yr
Job Description: Work alongside product, business, and technical team members to ensure the usability and functionality of products, services, and systems. Deliver quality standards using the team's testing systems to ensure efficiency, reliability, and performance. Contribute to the organization's overall strategic plan to maintain and improve production quality. Review requirements and specifications and provide feedback. Create detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases. Prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. Execute test cases, identify, and document defects thoroughly. Track quality assurance metrics like defect totals, type and frequency and create test summary reports. Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts to test web applications and APIs. Install, configure, and maintain testing programs. Help develop and implement test automation strategies for the team. Contribute to and help grow company’s Automation Community of Practice. May need to support manual and automation test requests for environment patching, production releases, etc. outside standard business hours on as-need bi-weekly basis. Must live within reasonable commuting distance from Oakland, CA office and able to appear in office as required. Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Alternatively, company will accept a bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related Software Testing role. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Experience and/or education must include: 1. Quality Assurance for Web Applications and APIs; 2. One (1) or more of the following software test automation tools and technologies: Pytest, Selenium, xUnit, Unified Functional Testing, Postman, SOAPUI, Protractor, Cypress; 3. Test Automation development with Java or JavaScript; 4. SQL, XML, and JSON; 5. Cross browser testing; 6. Any test management and reporting tools, such as Quality Center, Zephyr or qTest; and 7. Working in an Agile environment.
