Motive Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer, Data Science / Machine Learning for its San Francisco, California office.

Job Duties: Build telematics AI models at the heart of Motive's safety product suite, such as collision detection model and safety core; build, improve & maintain machine learning models; apply statistical models and quantitative analysis on large datasets to measure & identify areas for improvement/optimization in the product; lead the effort for collection of new data and refinement for existing data sources; identify and implement tools to effectively analyze data; educate and steer the organization toward adopting a more data-driven approach. Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in: writing jobs for fetching & processing large scale data and video streaming; telematics sensor data (GPS, IMU); designing & building data pipelines; designing Microservices, ETL and Big Data Analytics; and complex data handling/querying.

Salary: $128,398 to $202,000 per year
