Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Multiple Positions), DoorDash, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA. Develop production machine learning solutions to build a world class personalized shopping experience for a diverse and expanding retail space. Partner with engineering and product leaders to help shape the product roadmap applying ML. Conceptualize, design, implement, and validate ML algorithmic improvements to grow and personalize the user experience. Use robust data and machine learning infrastructure to implement new ML solutions to make the consumer search experience more relevant, seamless, and delightful across grocery, convenience, and many other retail categories. Collaborate with multi-level teams to drive production level machine learning strategies to produce creative solutions to end-user problems. Telecommuting Permitted. (SMLE-S-102-SV)

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $199,534 - $238,000/yr. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or closely related discipline and three (3) years of experience in the applied science or software engineering industry including machine learning.

Qualifying experience must include the following skills (which may be gained concurrently);

• Programming languages such as Java, Python;
• Data structure;
• CI/CD;
• Docker;
• SQL or NoSQL Database;
• Distributed Systems;
• Building machine learning models and their supporting pipelines in the information retrieval or recommendation field;
•  Algorithm areas like query understanding, personalization, or ranking.
• Building and deploying machine learning systems in production by using frameworks such as PyTorch, or TensorFlow

Up to 10% travel (domestic) based on business need.
