Nokia of America Corporation, Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA. Design, develop, script and execute tests to verify conformance of feature(s) functionality implemented by the Engineering team against requirements specifications laid out by Product Marketing. Drive the feature to completion (ready for GA release) and interact extensively with Software, Hardware, Firmware and Product Marketing teams. Automate test cases using Tcl or Python based infrastructure and maintain them. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Augment test strategies and automation with feedback and analysis from real-world customer deployments. Assist with system design so that Quality Assurance is considered throughout the entire lifecycle of the product. Consult with developing engineers to resolve issues and provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and computation software.

SALARY RANGE: $149,587 - 212,458 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Telecommunication Systems Management or a related field.

Skills required: Scripting Languages Tool Command Language (TCL), Python, or Perl; Linux; TCP/IP networking and L2/L3 protocols, including Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) or Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP); VLAN technologies; Wireshark protocols analyzer; OS concepts: virtual memory, memory management, processes, threads and Network Function Virtualization (VNF); Version control system: Global Information Tracker (GIT), and editors: Visual (Vi).
