Data Architect - Digital Transformation, Lam Research Corporation, Fremont, CA. Design and develop data architecture and data governance specs based on the to-be processes part of the digital transformation. Use leadership abilities to drive process and data design for Corporate Functions processes from discovery through delivery. Work with key HR, Legal, Finance and GIS stakeholders supporting digital transformation program and provide the leadership to define the data strategy and architecture. Engage in the business transformation workshops with SME and identify the data and process gaps and propose a scalable data and analytics architecture to address those gaps. Leverage current SILK architecture as a data hub for digital transformation program and identify additional tools and services to address the process gaps. Offer insight, guidance, and direction on the usage of emerging data analytics trends and technical capabilities that will help the digital transformation across the company. Demonstrate the capabilities and conduct POCs of data and advanced analytics solutions to digital transformation teams to show the potential of the Data Fabric/SILK platform. Define, maintain, and promote the advanced analytics standards and processes as part of GIS Center of Excellence across the company. Design advanced Analytics applications using Azure tech stack, Power BI, Synapse, SQL Warehouses including ETL pipelines. Develop collaborative relationships with key business sponsors and IT resources for the efficient resolution of work requests. 100% telecommuting - may reside anywhere in the U.S.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $187,200 - $272,000/yr. 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside in California and most states. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus 8 years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience.

Must have 5 years experience in leading the design and development of data and analytics projects in a global company.

Must have 5 years experience in high tech or manufacturing company.

Must have 5 years experience in working for projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.

Must have 3 years experience in Data Warehouse ETL design and development, methodologies, tools, processes and best practices.

Must have 5 years of experience working with and analyzing large datasets, within the relevant domains of IoT and enterprise data.

Must have 5 years of experience in building and launching new data models.

Must have 2 years of experience in the following tools: Python, and MS SQL.

Must have 2 years of experience in working with Microsoft Azure.

Must have 2 years of experience in Cloud based EDW platforms: Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, or Big Query.
