Job Title: Senior Designer

Job Description: Set strategic direction for Men ‘s Tailoring Design category, inclusive of suiting, item blazers and item trousers. Research global markets in order to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories and competitive inspiration. Develop concepts and sketches for product line and advocate for design ideas by presenting to internal leadership and cross functional partners. Develop strong internal cross functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical design, Gap Inc Sourcing (GIS), Visual Merchandising and Marketing to ensure product concept to store and site execution is a seamless customer experience. Partner with Production and Tech Design to create tech packs and communicate vision behind fit and product design, ensuring execution, quality, and desired margin targets are achieved. 10% domestic travel required. Must appear in office 3 days per week; WFH permissible 2 days per week.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Fashion Design, or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Menswear Design or in the job offered or related role.

Experience and/or education must include:

1. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and PLM;
2. Rendering black + white sketches and color croquis;
3. Editing color, print and pattern using Adobe Photoshop;
4. Knowledge in fabric construction, sewing techniques, garment construction and trims;
5. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with fabric mills

5. Elevated brand lens in use of silhouette, fabric and color;
6. Managing, inputting, and communicating components of garments using PLM;
7. Streamlining complex processes for efficiency;
8. Managing cross functional partnerships; and

Job Location: 2 Folsom St, San Francisco, CA 94105 & must appear in office 3 days per week; WFH permissible 2 days per week.
