Manager, Merger and Acquisition Tax - Multiple positions

Manager, Merger and Acquisition Tax, PwC US Tax LLP, San Jose, CA. Advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs. Act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Help clients with various aspects of a merger and acquisition transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships, and insolvency. Assist clients on managing their tax obligations across unique but ever-changing tax specialties. Support clients establish treasury goals, analyze and quantify tax assets, assess tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts. Supervise and coach teams.

 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.Salary: $212,000 - $253,000/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Tax, Law, Business Administration or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Tax, Law, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.

Certification(s) required: US CPA or foreign equivalent, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar.

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following

·       Applying and interpreting U.S. federal income tax law as it relates to tax due diligence exercises;

·       Consulting and planning and analyzing proposed transactions for unusual tax risks for undetermined tax benefits;

·       Conducting buy-side and sell-side due diligence for Mergers and Acquisition transactions and preparing due diligence reports; and,

·       Interpreting complex legislative and regulatory actions relating to corporate and partnership transactions.

80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.

Travel requirement(s): Domestic and/or international travel up to 20% is required.
