Salary Range: $220,000/yr – $330,000/yr

TITLE:    Investment Vice President

DUTIES: Research and recommend companies for SoftBank to invest in or acquire. Participate in all stages of the investment process – including market analysis, due diligence, deal negotiations, and portfolio management as a board director or observer. Communicate results and insights with senior leaders (e.g., through live presentations and ongoing analysis/reports). Manage end-to-end analytical projects by quickly understanding context and developing structured analysis to reach alignment and provide guidance to senior stakeholders. Research and share executive-level insights to educate other executives on new, innovative technology trends and markets, and recommend high-potential investments. Source new investment opportunities and develop relationships with other investors and industry founders / executives. Leverage SoftBank's global assets and derive portfolio synergies. Up to 40% travel required to unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. and abroad. Must be available to work in office 3 days per week. Work from home acceptable 2 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Law or related field and six (6) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related role.

SKILLS: Experience and/or education must include the following:

1. Develop and analyze comprehensive financial, operating and company models in Excel; 
2. PPT, Affinity, Pitchbook, CapIQ, Tegus/GLG/AlphaSights;
3. Familiarity with the following document types: Term sheets, Stock purchase agreement (SPA) and disclosure schedule for SPA, Voting agreements for shareholders, Investor rights agreement (IRA) that breaks down the rights and privileges afforded to shareholders, Right of first refusal / co-sale agreement, and Certificate of incorporation;
4. BamSEC, Sentieo, G2, AppAnnie, AlphaSense;
5. Capitalization table, investor side letter agreements, board and information rights agreement, non-disclosure agreements, non-reliance letters, registration rights agreements, limited partnership agreements (LPA), joint venture agreements; and
6. Basic knowledge of Python.

OTHER: Job Site: 300 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, CA 94025; Up to 40% travel required to unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. and abroad. Must be available to work in office 3 days per week. Work from home acceptable 2 days per week.
